Dear Colleague,
May you all be safe and healthy!
It is our great pleasure and honor to extend this warm invitation to you to participate in the 29th Annual Meeting of the Korean College of Helicobacter and Upper Gastrointestinal Research and the 17th Korea-Japan Joint Symposium on Helicobacter Research (HUG 2021) to be held from March 19th to 20th, 2021, at the Swiss Grand Hotel (previously Grand Hilton Seoul), Seoul, Korea.
As you know, we have been dealing with the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic that has changed our daily lives. Considering the current situation, the organizing committee decided to hold the HUG 2021 as a Hybrid meeting (it will be partially conducted as a virtual meeting) and we will do our best to ensure a seamless connection with you.
While it may look a little different, the HUG 2021 Hybrid meeting’s exceptional scientific programming and networking opportunities will continue to provide inspiration and insight to advance this dynamic field of research.
As it always has been, this meeting is a major academic gathering for Helicobacter research and related health issues. The agenda of the HUG 2021 encompasses broader range of issues from the Helicobacter to the gastric cancer. World leading scholars are invited to present state-of-the-art lectures and to share their perspectives in this field. In addition to the Japan and Korean collaboration, extinguished Asian scholars will also participate to make this meeting outstanding and remarkable. Two-day program consists of discussions regarding various Helicobacter-related diseases in Asia. Especially, obesity and gut microbiome studies are the core topics of this meeting. Besides, basic research includes gastric epithelial stem cell biology and carcinogenesis.
We look forward to the next meeting where everyone can participate and enjoy in person.
Sincerely yours,
